Riding horses, loving her dogs, playing bridge, gardening, reading, playing the piano, watching wildlife and cooking delicious meals were her favorite pastimes. In later years, she led a country life on a few acres with her husband, Jack, near Lewisville and Kemblesville for several years. She enjoyed her childhood and teenage years on the family farm in Capron, Ill., especially during the summer months, spending time with brother Clyde and cousins, Ted and Marilyn, and other close aunts and uncles.
